Voodoo Rhinehart Competes at Ronald McDonald in Houston

Voodoo Rhinehart just returned from Houston, Texas where they faced some tough competition in the 18U Power Pool. Friday’s games were rained out and rescheduled for Saturday.
The team started off strong with a 3-1 win over the Arizona Hotshots. Mia Rogers pitched six innings, allowing one run. Olivia Glover went deep belting a home run in the fourth inning.
In the second game of the day, the team evened things up against Excel Elite Gold at 2-2 when Alex Nyberg hit one over the fence. That was the only hit surrendered by Excel Elite’s pitcher.
After a lunch break, Voodoo Rhinehart faced a tough Rocky Mountain Thunder. Rocky Mountain's pitcher gave up only two hits in the game to Mia Rogers and Lindsay Ferguson.
In the last game on Saturday, the girls found themselves in a pitcher’s duel against Foothill Gold. Emma Nagy pitched a great game going five innings. Ultimately, Foothill Gold came away with the victory 1-0. Mia Rogers went 2-3 at the plate.
On Sunday, the team had one game against Peppers Gold. Mia Rogers, Emma Nagy, and Lindsay Ferguson combined efforts in the pitching circle. Christie Tadvick, Lindsey Murai, Mia Rogers, Olivia Glover, Alex Nyberg, and Taylor DeRouen all had hits in the game.
